my dad just gave me that phone cuz he is getting the droid today and he gave me his TOMTOM GPS and like 10 chargers =) he calls the 700w his paper weight lol
Yeah, My dad still has his treo 755p on sprint. I am trying to make him get a new phone, being that at a younger age I love new technology, but he wont budge. He even told me that the day it breaks on him, which he vows it never will, he just might cry.
i have the Palm Treo 700wx, and it is one the best phones i haveever had…. would give it 5 stars, over the Voygar, ev2,samsung alis, and even over the doid! (my dad has one, they look nice, bu not really…. the touch screen goes a lot, and with the palm it NEVER goes out.
I still own a 700w. Sure it has it’s flaws, and i’ve moved on to the Omnia i910 but its still one of my favorite smartphone’s i’ve owned. Thanks for this throwback!
It ran a Microsoft Smartphone 2002 OS, had infrared (no BT) and a stand-by time of up to 96 h and a talk time up to 4 h (860 mAh li-ion battery), but eventually after a year or two I had to charge it every 2 hours. Moreover, this phone supported a SD or MMC card and a seperate camera which was an accessory.
And back in 2003 (when it came out), this was about the only device with Internet and video playback (*.3gp in TCPMP)… Now that’s what I’m talking about…
I used to have a Motorola MPx200 back then. It featured a
TI OMAP 710 133 MHz processor;
32 MB of ram, like this device;
8 MB Internal Memory
2.2” (which was quite large back then, even on the box it says ‘large color display’) 176 x 220 pixels TFT display, and a second 80 x 48 pixels (monochrome) display.
sorry off topic i was wondering what kind of camera you are you used to do your recordings with and would you recommendit for recording for you tube
thank you
I used to love palm’s devices (well I like the ones they make now too lol) but I remember when I was young and I thought that the treos looked so cool and I always wanted one, and then I got a palm pilot which was awesome. Palm OS was actually an awesome OS back in the day.
I totally loved using this phone back in the day. Their keyboard was amazing for the time. My Calculus professor actually still uses this, I notice it on his holster each day. haha

The device was actually very quick throughout the video. I must say I was impressed
